2012 Audition Dates-

Sunday Feb. 26- Drumheller - 3:30-6:00pm   (onsite)

Monday Feb 27- Calgary- 6:00-10:00pm (Theatre Calgary Rehearsal Hall, 2nd floor, 220 9th Ave SE)

Tuesday Feb 28- Red Deer- 7:00-10:00pm (location TBA)

Wednesday Feb 29- Edmonton- 7:00-10:00pm (location TBA)

All new cast members please email Ailsa Birnie to book your audition time. All returning cast members please let Ailsa know if you are interested in an audition and she will let you know if the directors need to see you this year. You will need to have booked an audition time prior to the audition date in order to be seen by the directors.

                      

Speaking Roles

All new cast members wishing to try out for speaking parts needs to attend auditions.  The auditions will consist of a cold reading .

Non-speaking Roles

Those wishing to be in a non-speaking role (you will still be speaking, but won’t have specific lines) don’t have to audition, but need only to register your interest. Don’t think of being part of the “crowd” as boring because you may just find yourself as Roman soldier, temple guard, priest, farmer or follower. You will also find yourself dancing, singing, laughing, crying, running, jumping, yelling and even imitating the sounds of animals and the wind. As you can see, the “crowd” is a very important and integral part of the production.

Note: Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult unless other arrangements have been made. Please notify stage management of other arrangements.

Time Commitment

Actors are asked to attend all rehearsals (inform the stage manager ahead of time if you must miss any). Rehearsals begin May 25 and are held all day Saturday (10 am - 9 pm with lunch and long dinner breaks) and Sunday afternoons (noon - 6 pm). People with principal roles will be asked to attend some Friday and Sunday evening (6 - 9 pm) rehearsals as well.  We will be holding our Dress Rehearsal the evening of Wednesday, July 11. We will then have a preview performance Thursday, July 12. Performances are the evenings (6 pm) of July 13, 14, 19 & 20 and the afternoons (3 pm) of July 15, 21, & 22.  Actors are asked to be on site at least one hour ahead of performance times. Please note that performers are welcome to camp at our campground during rehearsal times. Details of our working schedule will be posted online as they are developed.
